I started my marketing career with my first Network Marketing Company. The company is Send Out Cards and I'm honored to visit their headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah during my Social Media Tour Across America. I had a lunch interview with Dean Manheimer. He is the North American Country Manager for Dubli.com. Dean is an amazing entrepreneur and we will be sharing strategy with you on a weekly basis. I am honored to work directly with Dean and share his strategies for you to implement in your business ASAP!
My marketing strategy question for today was:
Dean, You and I are successful in marketing because we endure UNTIL the end! Nothing will stop our dreams to be successful and grow our businesses. What do you recommend to entrepreneurs that are beginning their network marketing business?
Dean Manheimer:
The numbers are not the key. Coming to the realization in network marketing there are principals to follow and need to be applied for your success.
Apply the current principals.. If you don’t apply you won’t be successful.
1. Learning to employ yourself: Most people from structured environment are not use to being their own boss. Entrepreneurs need to learn to survive on their own. Network Marketing is an unstructured environment. Learn how to create YOUR own structure.
2. All businesses take time to mature and grow. If you are going to start a business on your own. Remember, most businesses require lines of credit with banks, loans, and create business plans. Usually 3-5 year plans, forecast sales, etc. etc. This is to get your business to become profitable. In the Network Marketing world the same principles apply. You MUST invest time investment, emotional time, mental investment and allow time for your business to grow and mature. This time could be 2-3-5 years. Most people that don’t make money there first 90 days, QUIT. Don't be a quiter and write out a business plan.
3. You have to have a plan: You have to know why you are doing your business, what are doing? You will have good days and have bad days. When you have the bad days, you have to endure till the end. If you don’t have a vision on why you are doing, or what you are doing. It will take you out of your business. Whatever the motivation.. The money allows you to do the things you want to do personally. If you don’t have that crystal clear in your mind, that can take you out of the business of entrepreneurship.
